You see them everywhere, in parks, commercial and residential settings. Often times they are unsightly and hardly garner a second look but without them, flooding of communities and soil erosion would surely occur.
Known by several names, retention basin, wet pond, flood control pond and several others, they sometimes catch the eye when incorporated into the right setting.
This stormwater management pond is located in a residential community with a neighboring golf course. Rather picturesque for something we generally pay little attention to. :-)
